What an incredible five months it has been thus far… So many victories, so many blessings, so many miracles have already happened and still occurring!!! Despite the challenges, despite the bad news, despite the “no’s and the not yets”… WE MADE IT. And here we are in Faith’s Garden of INspiration for the most organic nutritious serving of wisdom, motivation, optimism, determination, and courage. It’s our place of authentic and purposeful revitalization. That’s right…you said it. It’s our favorite day of the week on any day of the week – “Weleful Wednesday”.
It may not come as a surprise to many of you that I am a huge Disney fan. I enjoy spending time at the theme park, reading a few of the classic stories to my nieces and nephews, and yes, yes, yes watching a good ole movie here and there. Today’s blog is definitely a reflection of that – my love for Disney. Over the weekend I was thinking about some of my favorite movies and a few of my favorite songs when I pondered on the thought of possible famous one-liners. I said to myself, “I’m sure Disney has captured some of the most famous one-liners from their animated movies over the course of the years.” So, I began to research it and you would not imagine how many lists, how many quotes, how many famous one-liners popped up. I went through quite a few and I narrowed it down to my top five. These quotes will definitely get your adrenaline going to either get you back on track and/or stay on track with full speed ahead to your next level of #GREATERNESS!!! Alice in Wonderland “Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” From the Heart of Disney… Lesson learned: Every day should bring new adventures, and there’s never a reason to stop being curious. From the Heart of TSWFAITH: We should never limit ourselves to only one great thing happening on any given day. We serve a God that is mighty and powerful and that has instructed us that with Him all things are possible. So, wake up and believe that the skies are limits to the miracles, the blessings, and the breakthroughs that can occur in one day in our lives. Cinderella “If you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true.” From the Heart of Disney…Lesson learned: Believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams. Imagine how boring life would be if you knew everything that was going to happen. YET… The key is that we have to hold on to our faith – that we never lose sight of the greater picture, the brighter side, the sunnier day!!! I heard somewhere that it takes the rain to produce the crops (or something to that nature). The experiences we encounter in life should not define us they should be used as tools to build us into AWESOME MAGNIFICENT VICTORIOUS human beings. God reminds us that…While we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed!!! Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs “Whistle while you work.” From the Heart of Disney…Lesson learned: Attitude really is everything, and with a positive approach, the drudgery of everyday tasks won’t seem that bad. From the Heart of TSWFAITH: I am a firm believer of the power of our thoughts and our words. When I hear this famous one-liner… “Whistle while you work” – it reminds me that often we’ve gotta have a hhhuuummm deep down in our spirit and in our soul that is full of the positive affirmations we have acquired, the scriptures that we have marinated on from the Word of God, the various quotes we have collected that breathe and speak LIFE into and over our lives. We must hold tight to the precious melodies of musical tunes, as well, that ignite our fire to go higher and higher and higher. Since we are the children of the most High God we can remain confident in this very thing – that He that begun a good work shall perform it to the end. Amazing… The end of the month is quickly approaching and before you know it we’ll be in month six – the beginning to an ending of the 1st half of the year. That’s Incredible!!! And even more so it’s been a blessing for me to meet you here in Faith’s Garden of INspiration… Our little yet powerful place of optimism, wisdom, and perseverance where we feast on our very own personalized nutritious serving of organic motivation. It’s our favorite day of the week on any day of the week – “Weleful Wednesday”.
So, just this past Saturday I did a clip for my series 31 Seconds for 3 Days/Week titled “Just Ripe”. In this clip I encouraged the viewers and the listeners to just hold tight during their ongoing seasons of life. Sometimes on this journey called life we can be too eager to rush things, to want things, to capture things. No matter what we must wait until it’s “Just Ripe”. Our job is to continue to water, fertilize, and nurture our soil so our souls will be ready to prosper. It’s our responsibility to carry out the mission, the destiny, and the purpose set forth for our lives regardless and nevertheless of what obstacles, barriers, and/or challenges may come our way. We must know that the seeds we plant will flourish!!! In our seasons of life we must remain confident because what we plant does not automatically sprout. Think about it for 31 seconds… I mean really close your eyes and think about it… Think about something that you thought "just happened". Now think about how that something actually came to pass. I have a few perfect examples… Your wife goes to the doctor for a routine check-up only to find out she’s three months pregnant even though she’s been feeling fine, she hadn’t really noticed any changes in her body or her eating habits… maybe she had been slightly more sleepier than usual but no major changes. You see, you all had been trying for over a year and wham!!!!! It was your season. Ok… you hired a tutor for your 3rd grade child who has had extreme difficulty with their reading and comprehension. The tutor has been coming for six months and little to no improvement has occurred. The teacher has even expressed her doubts about the fact that you even have a tutor. Then the test comes and out of nowhere your child aces the test. It was their season. And… then your cousin who was diagnosed with an ailment that was potentially reversible with a change in diet and exercise routine has shown no change in your opinion in over a year… then six months later they go to the doctor and the report comes back that due to their ongoing efforts and changes for a better quality of life they no longer suffer with that diagnosis. It was their season. You see, in each one of these cases there was a zeal of ongoing determination, perseverance, and will power being demonstrated. Even though the results appeared to be way overdue they came right on-time… In their season when things were “Just Ripe”. What I want us to remember more than anything is that when action meets purpose victory will flourish when the atmosphere is “Just Ripe”. Stay on course. Stay focused. Stay in high pursuit of your next level of #GREATERNESS!!! You never know when your season of “Just Ripe” will occur. This week I am sharing a piece that I originally wrote in 2003. I decided to spice it up a bit with some of our nutritious organic seeds of positivity and perseverance. Monday Mornings… Who in their right mind wants to return to Monday Mornings after an eventful yet restful weekend? And who in their right mind wants to get up super early after two days of sleeping in? Who... I ask... Who in their right mind wants to get back in the groove of this and that when the groove of excitement and adventure was custom made for their pleasure? Who really wants it? Who wants Monday Mornings? Who wants to start a new work week? All the noise, the disruptions, the phones… faxes, computers, copiers, scanners, shredders, printer jams, pesky little questions, database breeches, department check-ins, intercom announcements, finding parking, parking permits, badges, codes, passwords, usernames, power outages… and everything else. And just like that… Here you come on Monday Mornings with the light of the Lord shining through your soul and his words projecting from your mouth into the atmosphere - shifting the chaos into peace and neutralizing the staleness with pure positive productivity. Now, I'll tell you about Monday Mornings… Brand new opportunities, fresh perspectives, organic outlooks, drawing board success, team building and team unity, victories claimed, and sunshine kool-aid smiles… Yep… That’s Monday Mornings. Once again I was at a crossroads making a desperate effort to decide on a topic for this weeks’ blog and like the magician that pulls the bunny from the hat; another one of my past writings surfaced – titled “Who Is A Teacher?” and today you will be blessed with the revised version. Before we go any further let me say this: Teachers are all around us every day in every place and in every way we could possibly imagine. YES… There is much credit to be given to those who have obtained their credentials in the field – that goes without question or any doubt.
