Faith's Garden of INspiration

Let's Dance...

12/26/2018

Isn’t it incredible that it’s December 26, 2018? I pray that you all enjoyed your Christmas holiday and really understand that no matter what you are yet abundantly blessed. I wanna take this opportunity to say, "Thank You" for joining me here in Faith’s Garden of INspiration on the last “Weleful Wednesday” of the year. This has been our sacred place to retreat, regroup, and refresh – a place of divine opulent motivation.

Typically during the holiday season there is loads of food, tons of laughter, and a musical selection that spans across several generations and genres. The music is like the icing on the cake, the whip cream on the hot coco, the fruit topping on the frozen yogurt – just right. No matter your preference you can easily groove to a tune that sparks your bones. And then the dancing starts and never ends.

As the year draws to an end I’d like to encourage us all to dance just a little bit more. Yes. That’s right. Let’s Dance. Dance to the rhythms of powerful prayer, of joy, of humility, of generosity, of steadfastness, of victory, of faith, of peace. Let’s get our groove on to the classical arrangements of hope, of compassion, of servitude, of kindness, of charity, of support, of genuine guidance, mentoring, and leadership. Let’s snap our fingers to the jazzy sounds of laughter, of positive constructive feedback, of unity, of developing ourselves and the world, of networking, of planning and executing. Let’s two-step to the natural flow of pure love, of respect, of collective creativity, of equality, of justice, of harmony, of open communication, of the ability to agree to disagree. Let’s bob our heads to the tunes of empathy, of sympathy, of perseverance, of determination, of courage, of confidence, of purpose, of destiny, of vision and an action driven mission.

That’s right. Let’s Dance.

Be sure to tell us what you’re dancing to in the comment section below.

Not Drano… FORGIVE-O

12/19/2018

My My My… It’s “Weleful Wednesday” here in Faith’s Garden of INspiration. A place where we are allowed to refuel, recharge, and reconnect with our most optimal selves. It’s in this garden that we get an all-natural organic boost of wisdom, encouragement, strength, insight, and yes yes yes…a super dooper extra boost of FAITH too!!!

I recently did a clip for my series “31 Seconds for 3 Days/Week” with TSWFAITH titled “Not Drano but FORGIVE-O”. In this clip I briefly discuss the power of forgiveness and how it cleanses our souls and frees our spirits. We are all familiar with Drano and how it unclogs the pipes. Basically, you pour it down the drain and let it sit overnight so it can work its magic. The chemicals in the Drano eat away at the substances that are clogging the pipes and then the water is able to flow through without any blockage. When we allow ourselves to forgive, I mean truly forgive with the Power and the word of God, we are freeing our clogged pipes of bitterness, anger, disappointment, sadness, and revenge!!! With these things lying dormant inside of us we are definitely clogged up and experiencing blockage.

I believe by now I’ve reiterated, a few times, that life is truly too short. There used to be a phrase that I would hear my grandparents say – “Here today, gone tomorrow.” In this day and age it’s “Here today, gone today.” Things that killed people in their late 70’s and onward are now killing us in our early 30’s. IT”S UNBELIEVABLE!!! This is why we, as individuals, must respect and practice the POWER OF FORGIVENESS!!! The emotions and the potential side effects of holding on to unforgiveness and clogging our souls and our spirits with the destructive chemicals of rage, fury, hurt, resentment, bitterness, anger, disappointment, sadness, and revenge does our bodies, our minds, and our pursuit of our next level of #GREATERNESS absolutely no good!!! After all, the greatest examples of forgiveness – God and Jesus – instruct us to forgive seven times seventy in one day!!! God further instructs us to love those that despitefully use us, to pray for those who persecute us, and to bless those who curse us – Matthew 5 v 44. These instructions are set in place not to be ignored – they are to be adhered to. Forgiveness is truly our key that unlocks the doors to a healthier life full of greater peace, greater joy, greater humility, greater compassion, and greater patience. So, let’s all get some FORGIVE-O and unclog our arteries, free our spirits, and free our souls.

Be sure to leave a comment below expressing how forgiveness has helped you on this journey called life.

Shake & Bake…. Marinating Into Your Divine Purpose

WWWOOOWWW… This is truly an incredible frabjous blessed moment we are partaking in today. Come on and do a little dance with me in honor of our 1yr anniversary here in Faith’s Garden of INspiration. A celebration of motivation, optimism, wisdom, courage, and strength to pursue our next level of #GREATERNESS. YES YES YES… That’s right it’s been one year today that we’ve gathered for our weekly organic boost of “Weleful Wednesday”. This is such a milestone and a prodigious accomplishment. I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR WEEKLY SUPPORT!!!

Just this past Saturday, I did a clip on FB for my mini-series “31 Seconds for 3 DAYS/WEEK” with TSWFAITH titled “Shake & Bake”. I briefly shared with the viewers the importance of us shaking things off of us so we can truly marinate and bake into our divine purpose. For our 1yr anniversary I want us to plunge a little deeper into this concept of shake & bake. Remember the actual Shake & Bake seasoning that you could purchase to coat your meat and then bake in the oven? Well, one of the most important things the instructions made very clear was that you needed to shake the excess seasoning from the meat so it would bake properly. On this journey called life there are some things, some issues, some distractions, some negativity, and some internal personal matters that we have got to shake off us so we can bake into our divine purpose.

Come on and do some shaking with me… shake off anger and bake in love, shake off frustration and bake in understanding, shake off low self-esteem and bake in confidence, shake off destructive negativity and bake in positive feedback that promotes growth and maturity, shake off fear, doubt, and thoughts of unworthiness and bake in courage, hope, and thoughts of self-value, shake off bitterness and bake in the beauty of forgiveness, shake off procrastination and bake in goal setting and achievements, shake off bad habits and bake in a complete overhaul of quality lifestyle changes, shake off destructive characteristics and bake in integrity, humility, and perseverance, shake off laziness and bake in positive productivity, shake off your thoughts of defeat and bake in God’s thoughts of victory, shake off loneliness and bake in being content with yourself and/or be in the presence of other opulent minded people…

Shake off the lack of knowledge and bake in the ability to access information and educate yourself with the touch of a fingertip, shake off the layers of hurt and bake in the new chapter of abundance and joy, shake off rejection, isolation, and alienation and bake in the ones who truly appreciate, admire, and adore you, shake off pondering on the thoughts and/or the feelings of bad choices and decisions and bake in the lessons learned and the wisdom gained, shake off the devil and the devices he attempts to use and bake in the power of prayer and God’s protection, shake off “I don’t know and I’m not sure” and bake in the fact that Faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen – in other words bake in the fact that you are more than a conqueror, shake off comparing yourself to others and bake in your uniqueness and being a handcrafted “one of a kind”, shake off prejudice and stereotyping and bake in the respect for yourself and others, shake off allowing your past to torment you and bake in the blessing of a brand new day full of new opportunities, new thoughts, and new strategies, shake off that mentality of shoulda, woulda, coulda, and bake in the powerful statements of “I CAN… I WILL… I MUST” – Shake & Bake!!!

Now, be sure to share a few things you plan on shaking off and baking in in the comment section below.

Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong…

12/5/2018

Absolutely Unbelievable – Listen it’s December 5, 2018. The 12th month and the fifth day of 2018 - This is amazing!!! And here we are in Faith’s Garden of INspiration for our “Weleful Wednesday” moment. It’s our precious time where we gather a few extra valuable golden nuggets of wisdom, reflection, appreciation, motivation, and determination that only TSWFAITH can serve on an antique platter.

Every Sunday I post a song, from my all-time personal favorite collection, on Facebook to encourage, uplift, and remind us all of the important things in life. I do a mix of Gospel, oldies, hip hop, R&B, popular soundtrack singles, pop, Motown, etc. These songs are selected with the divine intention to provide the audience with a greater perspective and deeper appreciation of daily living as they travel along this journey called life.

Last week the featured song was Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes from the 1982 film titled An Officer and a Gentleman. The movie in itself was and is a winner on my shelf. The song has been recognized by the Recording Industry Association of America as one of the Songs of the Century. I just believe that no matter what there is unmeasurable power in the source of LOVE including those moments that may have caused us great pain, disappointment, and agony. You see even in those types of experiences with love we can choose to rise above the situation and allow love to be beautiful, prosperous, and everlasting in our lives.

Here’s what I know…. Love can lift you up from a pit of hatred, love can shed light in a tunnel of dark bitterness, love can open your eyes to some of the most incredible unimaginable divine moments, love can stir up your gifts and push you into your next level of #GREATERNESS, love can find you on the edge of the bed about to give up and throw in the towel and whisper a sweet soft word to remind you that you are victorious, love can expose you to the simple pleasures of life like a walk along the beach, a drive along the coast, an ear that’ll just listen and not judge, love can give your children a secure foundation and be a guide on how to share compassion and kindness, love can hold you when you’re having a moment and the pool of tears just won’t dry up – but then love shows up and you know everything is going to be all right, love can turn the sour taste of disappointment into the sweetest sip of joy and peace, love can rock you to sleep after a long days’ work, love can bring laughter where there was once depression – YES LOVE CAN!!!

I know the LOVE of GOD brought me out of darkness, keeps me by the still waters, leads me into the path of righteousness, strengthens me when I am weak, and kept Jesus on the cross to fulfill the will of His father. My My My… the beautiful power of love!!!

Now, be sure to share other ways Love Lifts Us Up Where We Belong in the comment section below.
