Welcome… Welcome… Welcome to Faith’s Garden of INspiration on the last Wednesday of November 2018. Our little exquisite getaway where we can recharge, replenish, and reload on an organic serving of “Weleful Wednesday”. A place that delivers pure encouragement, optimism, wisdom, healthy perspectives, and nutritious affirmations.
It’s no secret that I am a firm believer in the power of our words!!! I am confident that consistent profound can drive the atmosphere into a space and place of positive productivity, peace, joy, unity, and love. Considering all that has transpired since January of this year – countless mass shootings, fires destroying communities, storms destroying cities, political shenanigans that twist your stomach in knots, and personal day to day life events - this week we will travel into the minds of a few great extraordinary individuals. Come on and take a close look at these quotes that will comfort, encourage, motivate, strengthen, and uplift each one of us… *************************************************************************** “We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes—understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.” By Arianna Huffington “You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world’s problems at once but don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.” By Michelle Obama “Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” By C.S. Lewis “Growth is painful. Change is painful. But, nothing is as painful as staying stuck where you do not belong.” By N. R. Narayana Murthy “They were all ordinary until they took the extraordinary steps with courage to leave the extraordinary footprints”. By Ernest Agyemang Yeboah “When was the last time you did something for the first time.” Anonymous *************************************************************************** I am totally convinced that there is more than one quote that gave you a second thought, that sparked a little more zeal in your drive, and/or that reminded you you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8 v 37). Now, be sure to share one of your favorite powerful quotes or a personal thought in the comment section below. WWWOOOWWW… Can you believe it??? Yes. It is true. It really is. It’s our first season of “GREATER” Thanksgiving here in Faith’s Garden of INspiration. This is truly a special moment for me and I am beyond grateful for each of you who gather here for “Weleful Wednesday” each week. It’s the best place in the world to get an organic all natural boost of encouragement, wisdom, optimism, strength, and motivation.
Now, come on and take a little trip with me… Just pause for one minute and 31 seconds… Think about the past 365 days of your life. Really think. Think about all that you’ve survived!!! Think of all that you have achieved!!! Think of all that you have experienced and how it has made you stronger, wiser, and greater!!! YOU ARE VICTORIOUS!!! In this season of “GREATER” Thanksgiving I want us all to zone in our lives and truly give thanks for everything that we’ve survived including that which we weren’t even aware of. You know like that car accident that happened up ahead and you missed it because you got caught at the red light. Or like the time you were in the store and the next day somebody told you it got robbed at gunpoint right after you left. Wait. Wait. Wait. Or like the time you were in the hospital and the person in the other bed went into cardiac arrest. Or the time when your loved one was diagnosed with a terminal illness yet lived 3x’s longer than the expected years. Or the time your plane was on a delay and out of nowhere they announced unforeseen horrific weather conditions and advised all planes to hold back on departures. You ever take a moment to really count your blessings??? Not stuff and things but the fact that you can rub your feet together because you have feet, the fact that even though you’re in a wheelchair you can still get around, the fact that even though you lost your vision you can still hear, smell, taste, and touch, the fact that although you’re just about bed bound you’re in rehabilitation, the fact that even though the money ran low you never missed a meal, that fact that although the world is in chaos and turmoil you still have joy, the fact that even though the “ideal” offer didn’t come through you’re scheduled to meet with the “bigger, better, brighter” offer early next week, the fact that you gave birth to three healthy brilliant children after the doctors told you would never conceive, the fact that numerous people around you are divorced and your marriage remains intact full of love, laughter, and adventure, the fact that you had to get to divorced because it was toxic, unhealthy, unproductive and yet you made it, the fact that you’re a single parent raising a child and you’re doing an excellent job, the fact that even though you have experienced the loss of a loved one you can still comfort others and pursue your next level of #GREATERNESS, the fact that even when it appears you’re all alone and no one understands – Jesus is right there!!! In this season it’s extremely imperative that we all remain in this atmosphere of “GREATER” Thanksgiving and that from here on out we make a vow that with each and every day that rises and sets we will take a moment to count our blessings – to train our minds and our hearts to be aware of all the goodness that yet remains. Now, be sure to share a few things that you are grateful for in the comment section below. Our little hangout where we can gather together at any time on any given day from anywhere in the world. That’s right. Weleful Wednesday is a special time for us to recapture our focus, reroute our disappointments, and re-plan the vision.
Last week I did a clip titled “Our Life is On Rental” for one of my newest weekly adventures known as “Time Capsule Thought Thursdays”. In this clip I discussed how I passed by a Car Rental and I just kept pondering on the process we go through to rent a car… credit/financial check, validation of identification, and insurance policy review. That process and sometimes the grueling lines, the grueling wait, and unfortunately, the grueling service that may occur every once in a while… well, it just kept playing out in my head and then it hit me… “Our Life is On Rental”. Take a deeper plunge into the written expansion of the clip. This life that we live is not promised to us: as many of us have truly come to realize and acknowledge through personal experiences with loss along the way, particularly unexpected loss. On this journey called life we must understand that “Our Life is On Rental” thus we must be vigilant in validating our identification with and through God. After all, it is by His design that we were formed and given the gift of life in the first place. It is imperative for us to allow His word to shape and mold us as we pursue our next level of #GREATERNESS!!! Once that has been done it is our responsibility to walk in that calling and trust the process. We must know who we are by knowing whose we are – validation identification!!! JUST THINK ABOUT THAT!!! Funny, how we eagerly partake in the credit/financial check as part of the “car rental” process. And yes, there may be a few of us who may not do it so willingly yet if we really desire to get that rental – we comply. Here’s what I have to say about that because “Our Life is On Rental”… If, we go through that process for a car… then we should also perform a similar process as people enter into our lives. It is not to give someone a “pass” or a “fail” yet it is to secure our most valuable assets. We have to know, understand, and process why people are present in our lives. There are times when the report takes a little longer to come back before we are exposed to that purpose however the check has already been ran!!! We’ve all heard that saying that some people come into our lives for a season, for a reason, or for a lifetime and I just believe that there are some people that will fall into all three categories because they will have a reason in particular seasons over the course your lifetime. JUST THINK ABOUT THAT!!! In the paragraph above I mentioned “to secure our most valuable assets”. Those assets are the insurance policies that we have over our lives… Faith, Joy, Peace, Love, Kindness, Strength, Courage, Determination, Salvation – just to name a few!!! It is our duty to protect these policies at all times to the best of our ability which is exactly why we have to acquire them from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; who strengthens us even when we are weak. These policies secure our ability to stand through the test of times, to endure hardness, and to run this race with patience. You see, any prolonged breach or interruption in these policies could cause us to be off track, off balance, or off focus. And, we really do not have a lot of time to waste because “Our Life Is On Rental”!!! JUST THINK ABOUT THAT!!! Be sure to share your thoughts in the comment section below. Can you believe it? We are actually in the month of November 2018. It’s the last quarter of the year and we are yet in high pursuit of our next level of #GREATERNESS. You see we truly understand that while it's an end to a year our lives begin every morning. “Weleful Wednesday” is our special moment–a time of total restoration and replenishing of our mind, body, soul, and spirit. Faith’s Garden of INspiration offers the perfect serving of optimism, encouragement, and motivation with an extra special dash of wisdom.
Last week I did a clip for my mini-series on FB titled “Go One Step Wilder”. I was traveling along the highway very early one morning and this billboard caught my attention. It all happened so fast that to this day I still have no idea what company or what merchandise was being advertised but I do know for me, it hit me in a berry good way. Here’s why: On this journey called life we can always Go One Step Wilder in taking responsibility, in being accountable, in sharing kind words, in sharing words of wisdom, in delivering positive constructive feedback, in being more empathetic, more sympathetic, in displaying humility, in supporting one another, in sharing resources, in exhibiting love, in giving it our best each and every single time… We can Go One Step Wilder in being a more phenomenal daughter, son, sibling, cousin, aunt, uncle, mom, dad, neighbor, friend, coworker, in being a shoulder to lean on, in spending more time with family, in pursuing our dreams, in searching out our brilliance, in filling our hearts with more love, in being more patient… We can Go One Step Wilder in excising, in walking more, in eating more healthier, in drinking enough water, in parking further away from the entrance, in taking the necessary vitamins, supplements, herbs that we need… We can Go One Step Wilder in self-preservation, in getting enough rest, in doing something we really enjoy, in going places we’ve never been, in experiencing the beauty of nature, in appreciating the little things in life… We can Go One Step Wilder in securing our place with and in God, in submitting to His word, in allowing Jesus to be the vine in our lives, in studying God’s word, in operating in our gifts, in serving the people–near, far, and everywhere. Now tell us in the comment section below how you plan to “Go One Step Wilder”.
