What Are Your Special Features?

Yes Yes Yes… Let’s go “soil” searching in Faith’s Garden of INspiration. That’s right it’s “Weleful Wednesday”. And after a much needed and welcomed rain here in Southern California, this soil is definitely rich. We are about to experience a blog that is fresh in motivation, ripe in optimism, sprouting in determination, blossoming in wisdom, and blooming in courage.

So, this past Sunday I did a post on Facebook for mini series titled “31 SECONDS FOR 31 DAYS” with TSWFAITH. The actual clip is titled “Special Features”. A little over a week ago I was about to watch one of my favorite movies when I just sat at the edge of the bed for a minute and 31 seconds just staring at the menu options… Then it hit me…on this journey called life we have scene selections and we have special features. The scene selection gives us an opportunity to go to any particular scene of the movie we choose and we can even replay it and replay it again. Sometimes we can even skip over it and select a different one. Kinda like we are able to do on this journey called life. When we pull up certain moments of our lives or we recall a special time in place or we have one of those “day dream” moments about something that took place in our childhood, teenage, or adult life – we just hit scene selection.

The significant thing about scene selections, especially for the outsider looking in, is that in those moments everything is already on “lights, camera, action” mode. The event is in full gear. Now, when we select special features that gives us a glimpse into what may have occurred right before, in between, and/or after the scene. You know like in the movie – the special features may allow us to view the rehearsing of the lines or the costume fitting. Well, on this journey called life the special features option just may allow us, and others, to be able to review the actual preparation and research we put into creating that PowerPoint for our business plan, the late nights we watched over our children as they lay in bed in sick or exhausted, the tears we cried over a recent/past loss, heartbreak, or the delivery of bad news right before we joined our colleagues for a dinner celebration, the agony and frustration we experienced behind a contract that did not go as planned, the pain we endure from physical health ailments that haunt our bodies daily, the sadness from an unexpected disconnection of a long-time friendship…. The special features are those moments that give us strength, give us will-power, give us greater faith, perseverance, compassion, greater kindness, peace, wisdom, patience, and actually create our supernatural scene selections. So, keep building your scene selections through your special feature moments.

I look forward to hearing about one of your “special feature” moments in the comment section below.

Until next time...Stay Forever Blessed and Highly Favored
